Position Summary:
Under the direction of Management the employee will perform a wide variety of maintenance functions required to maintain the physical plant of the shopping center.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operates hi-lift, freight lift, and trash compactors
  • Prepares schedules for preventive maintenance programs
  • Maintains mechanical/HVAC equipment
  • Prepare and input budget information
  • Replace equipment when needed
  • Maintain inventory records
  • Communicates with tenants and management
  • Assists Operations Manager in personnel recommendations to management
  • Coordinate special work assignments with outside contractors
  • Leads Maintenance Staff and assists in personnel training
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Education: High School
  • Experience: 5 years in related field
  • Core Skills and Characteristics:
    • Maintenance/HVAC license through City or State government
    • 2 years Tech School Grad. or Certificate
    • Valid Driver’s License, if applicable

Assist with floor sets, window changes, visual presentation, signage presentations, signage placement, etc. as directed
Execute visuals and maintain a safe, inviting store appearance

Operational Excellence:
Perform opening and closing routines including the execution of bank deposits, receipt of shipment, and interprets / disseminate company directive when assigned as manager on duty
Act as the manager on duty, when scheduled, to address customer services, vendor or maintenance issues
Responsible for communicating any issues during opening/closing shifts to the store manager
Maintain policies and procedures
Lead operations teams*
Incorporate Loss Prevention and safety messages into daily operations
